LPS investigating robbery at north side Gas King

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Local police are investigating an armed robbery at a north side gas station that happened last week.

According to police, they responded to a robbery at Gas King along the 900 block of 5 Avenue North on May 8.

An investigation found that just before 4 a.m. a man armed with a machete entered the store and demanded cash. An undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes were turned over, and the man promptly fled on a bicycle.

Two employees who were working at the time weren’t injured.

The subject is described as a man, wearing a black hoody with the hood up, grey or faded blue jeans, dark coloured shoes, dark glasses, a dark bandana with white markings covering his face and black gloves with a white skeleton design on the hands.
