Ottawa man charged in connection with assault of elderly woman makes first court appearance
LETHBRIDGE, AB – A 21-year-old man charged in connection with a violent assault on a 75-year-old woman in south Lethbridge last week, made a brief court appearance in Lethbridge Provincial Court Monday, May 27.
Wearing a Lethbridge Correctional Centre black and blue jumpsuit, Adam Hall Hobkirk-Onate appeared briefly in person, appearing to smirk as he glanced around the courtroom, then sat on the prisoner’s bench.
Duty Counsel Miranda Hlady asked that his matter be adjourned until June 7, and the judge agreed. Onate was then escorted out of the courtroom by a Sheriff.
