Plot Hop offers full-day, back-to-back crop information sessions

LETHBRIDGE — Farming Smarter will sponsor its first Lethbridge Plot Hop of the year on Thursday, June 6.

The focus of Farming Smarter is to inform producers about the applied research being conducted in the region and help southern Alberta producers make informed choices around inputs, technology and management practices for their operations. The ultimate goal is to sustain land, water, soil and farmers for the benefit of everyone.

The first plot hop will cover a wide group of topics, from weed ID, pesticide application safety and crop staging to cover crops, pulses and crop sequencing.

The full day event runs from 8:00–am to 3:30-pm at the Lethbridge Research Centre plots and takes advantage of the knowledge of local researchers.
