Police investigating case of unknown male approaching a young girl
LETHBRIDGE, AB – An investigation is underway by Lethbridge Police after a teenage girl was allegedly approached by an unknown man and invited to accompany him to lunch.
Police say the incident happened on June 16 at around 1:00 p.m. Officers responded to a report that a 14-year-old girl had been approached by a man in a vehicle in front of Stan Siwik Pool.
It’s alleged that the man repeatedly asked the girl to go out for lunch. The girl declined every invitation and when she said her parents were on their way, the man left the area driving westbound along 15 Avenue North.
The suspect is described by police as a black male, 30 to 40 years old, bald and wearing dark clothing. He was reported driving an older model black Honda Civic.
