LETHBRIDGE, AB – The provincial government is looking for 32 students from across Alberta to join their Youth Council.

Students between the ages of 14-19 will be part of the Council for 10 months during the 2019/2020 school year and will have to attend three meetings in Edmonton on the weekends.

They will primarily be asked to give their perspectives on educational issues.

“Young people bring a unique perspective and we are committed to having their voices be heard and echoed through government policy,” says Lethbridge-East MLA Nathan Neudorf.

The government is encouraging applications from those with diverse interests, backgrounds, and perspectives from every region of Alberta.

More details on the position, including how to apply, can be found on the Government of Alberta’s website here.

The deadline is July 31st, 2019.
