$71,605 in grants given to groups in Lethbridge County

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge County has awarded grants to six non-profits in the rural areas surrounding the city.

This includes:

  • McNally Community Association: $20,000 for a heating replacement project
  • Monarch Community Association: $17,005 for community hall upgrades
  • Kinsmen Club of Coaldale: $10,000 for renovations and enhancements at Eastview Park
  • Friends of St. Joseph’s School Council: $10,000 for playground upgrades and redevelopment
  • Turin Community Club: $8,800 for security and storage upgrades at the community centre
  • Coulee Winds Saddle Club: $5,800 for arena repairs and upgrades

Reeve Lorne Hickey says these groups play an important role in making their communities an excellent place to live.

“They provide social, cultural, and recreational activities and opportunities, enhancing quality of life for our residents. We are pleased to provide this grant funding to assist the local organizations that are so essential to the well-being of our communities.”

Bursaries under the Community Grants Program are awarded once a year in the early summer.
