City of Lethbridge surveying residents on improving online services

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge wants to know how their online services should be improved going forward.

Vicky Bennett Intelligent Community Program Manager helped to launch a survey on the Digital Transformation Master Plan.

“This could be online services, transactional-type services with the city, or we could be a little more forward thinking and expand the scope of what’s possible in the future and think about some of the other ways we could use technology to improve city services.”

The short questionnaire starts by asking questions like how long you have been living in Lethbridge and which online services you regularly use, and ends by asking more “wishful thinking” kinds of questions like the one below:

“If you could wave a magic wand and make everything “just work,” what digital services would you like available in the City? (This can be anything: using your phone as a bus pass, ordering a driverless electric car on demand, voting from home, whatever you can think of.)”

Bennett believes the survey is important as it will help to shape a lot of future actions by the City of Lethbridge.

The survey is open until August 16th.

At that point, the information will be compiled into a report and presented to council in September.
