Sketch released of suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted an eight year old boy in Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – On June 1st, 2019, the parents of a boy reported that their son was sexually assaulted at Henderson Lake.

According to police, the boy was attending a birthday party when he was approached by an unknown older man.

“After being offered candy, the boy accompanied the male to the washroom and was sexually assaulted,” reads a media release from police.

A witness later saw the man with the boy near the water and called the child back to the party.

“The male appeared nervous and quickly walked away northbound.”

The suspect is described as being an older man with short grey hair, a medium build, and wearing khaki shorts and a red plaid shirt.
