Massage therapist pleads not guilty to sexual assault

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A 53-year-old Lethbridge massage therapist, charged with one count of sexual assault, pleaded not guilty to the charge at his arraignment in Court of Queen’s Bench in Lethbridge Monday morning (Aug. 12).
On November 28, 2018, a 34-year-old woman attended the Lethbridge Police station to report she had been sexually assaulted during a massage earlier in the day. The allegations involved inappropriate touching. Police say currently, there is no evidence to suggest there are other victims.
Cyprien Mudenge has elected a judge alone trial and will be back in court to set a possible trial date Aug. 26.
