LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Government of Alberta has announced its 11-person Curriculum Advisory panel members.

“We respect the hard work done thus far on Alberta’s K-12 curriculum, and we want to make sure we are taking the right approach for the right reasons for our children,” says Education Minister Adriana LaGrange. “Members of the curriculum advisory panel come to the table with diverse backgrounds and experiences that I believe will enhance the vision and direction for student learning in Alberta.”

The panel includes representatives from the K-12 system, post secondary schools, education advocates, and career and training organizations.

One of the members is Amy von Heyking, an Associate Professor at the University of Lethbridge’s Faculty of Education. She is the only person on the panel to represent Southern Alberta south of Calgary.
