TORONTO — Houston Astros ace Justin Verlander has thrown his third career no-hitter, and second against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Verlander struck out 14 and threw 120 pitches in the Astros’ 2-0 win. His only blemish was a walk to Cavan Biggio in the first inning.
Verlander also no-hit the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre on May 7, 2011 while with the Detroit Tigers. His first no-hitter came against the Milwaukee Brewers on June 12, 2007, also with Detroit.
