Lethbridge Police recover BB Gun after weapons scare at Galt Gardens

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A 17-year-old youth is facing a weapons charge, after an incident in Galt Gardens on Wednesday afternoon (Sept.11).
Lethbridge Police say around 2:30 p.m., they received a report of someone who may have had a handgun.
Officers responded, and after briefly chasing the youth as he fled on a bike, he was arrested.
Police say the gun turned out to be a BB gun, which the youth was showing to someone in a non-threatening manner in an effort to sell it to that person.
