Wednesday night north-side assault under investigation

LETHBRIDGE — Police are investigating a north-side assault that took place just after 8:00-pm on Wednesday, (Sept 11).

Officers responded with EMS to an injured man laying on the ground near Mildred Dobbs Boulevard and Lettice Perry Road North.

The man was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital and then to the Calgary Foothills Hospital in critical condition with a head injury.

An investigation resulted in a search warrant being executed at a home along Cougar Cove North the following day. Two men inside the residence were arrested and have since been released without charges as the investigation continues

The 31-year-old victim remains in Foothills hospital, but is now listed in stable condition.
