U of L and Lethbridge College Thanksgiving Weekend Sports Preview: Oct. 11-13, 2019

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Here’s what the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns and Lethbridge College Kodiaks are up to over the Thanksgiving long weekend.

LETHBRIDGE COLLEGE KODIAKS

The men’s basketball team has a trio of games as part of the Thanksgiving Basketball Classic at Red Deer College. Last night (Oct. 10) they beat Burman University 110-77. This afternoon, the Kodiaks face the University of Alberta-Augustana at 2:00 p.m. before a meeting with Okanagan tomorrow (Oct. 12).

The women’s basketball team has the weekend off. They face Briercrest College on Saturday, Oct. 19.

The cross-country teams are in ACAC Grand Prix action, the last GP races of the season, tomorrow (Oct. 12) in Camrose at the University of Alberta-Augustana.

The women’s soccer team faces Medicine Hat College at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 13). Following that, the men’s team will face the Rattlers at 2:00 p.m.

Both volleyball teams are off for this Thanksgiving long weekend.

UNIVERSITY OF LETHBRIDGE PRONGHORNS

The men’s basketball team compete in the Golden Bear Tournament in Edmonton this weekend. Tonight (Oct. 11) it’s a meeting with the Université du Québec à Montréal at 6:00 p.m. Tomorrow, the Horns face Ontario Tech at 5:00 p.m.

The women’s squad faces Carleton University tomorrow (Oct. 12) at 1:00 pm. In Calgary.

The men’s hockey team has a back-to-back weekend stretch at home against the University of Regina. Tonight’s game is at 7:00 p.m. with tomorrow’s game at 1:00 p.m.

The women’s hockey team faces the Cougars as well, but they’ll be in Regina. Tonight’s game is at 7:00 p.m. with tomorrow’s game at 3:00 p.m.

The women’s soccer team visit Mount Royal tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. with a home game against the Cougars at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 13). The men’s team has the weekend off.

Coming off a Suggitt Cup win last weekend; the women’s rugby team visit the University of Calgary Dinos tonight (Oct. 11) at 4:00 p.m.

The golf club is in a tournament hosted by the University of Victoria tomorrow (Oct. 12) and Sunday.
