U of L and Lethbridge College Weekend Sports Preview: Nov. 29-Dec. 1, 2019

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Local post-secondary teams are back in action this weekend, with some playing their final games before the holiday break.

Below is a preview of what’s in store for the Lethbridge College Kodiaks and University of Lethbridge Pronghorns.

LETHBRIDGE COLLEGE KODIAKS

Coming off last night’s 73-48 home win over SAIT, the Kodiaks women’s basketball team has a rematch with the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. tonight (Nov. 29), this time in Calgary.

The men’s side faces SAIT at 8:00 p.m., after last night’s 118-95 victory.

Both teams are back on the court in regular season play on Thursday, Jan. 9 in Medicine Hat.

The men and women’s volleyball teams both face Ambrose University tonight, with the women in action at 6:00 p.m. and the men at 8:00 p.m.

Both teams will face Ambrose again tomorrow (Nov. 30) at the same times. After this weekend, the volleyball teams will be back at it on Friday, Jan. 10 in Red Deer.

U OF L PRONGHORNS

Teams will look to use the momentum created by the swimming team’s success at the Canada West Championships last weekend to find their own success this weekend.

Both the men and women’s basketball teams are in Vancouver against UBC tonight (Nov. 29) and tomorrow. The women play tonight at 6:00 p.m. with the men on at 8:00 p.m.

Tomorrow, the women play at 5:00 p.m. with the men in action at 7:00 p.m.

Following the holiday break, both squads will face the University of Regina on Friday, Jan. 3.

The women’s hockey team is on the road. They face the University of Manitoba tonight at 7:00 p.m. and tomorrow for a matinee at 2:00 p.m.

After the break, they’ll play the University of Regina in Lethbridge on Jan. 3.

The men’s hockey team hosts the University of Manitoba tonight at 7:00 p.m. and tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. Following the holidays, they’ll be on the road against the University of Regina on Jan. 3.
