FILOMENA D’AGNONE (née Parisone), beloved wife of the late Giovanni D’Agnone, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital with family at her side on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the age of 101 years.

She is the loving mother of; Vince (Gina) D’Agnone of Lethbridge, AB, Domenic (Penny) D’Agnone of Creston, BC, Maria (Vincenzo) Minichiello of Italy, Beatrice (Nick) Virginillo of Lethbridge, AB, and Tony (Judy) D’Agnone of Lethbridge, AB. She is also remembered by 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, brother-in-law Felix (Mary) D’Agnone and by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Giovanni, three brothers, four sisters and her parents Michele & Domenica Battista.

Filomena was born February 24, 1918 in Civitanova, Del Sannio, Italy to Michele and Domenica Battista. She was the fifth of eight children.

Filomena was married February 24, 1938 to Giovanni D’Agnone. They immigrated to Canada in 1968 with their two youngest children, Beatrice and Tony. They left a married daughter (Maria) in Italy, joining their two older sons, Vince and Domenic.

Filomena had many passions including her family, cooking and gardening. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church and a member of the Italian Canadian Club.

A Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. with Deacon Cliff Bogdan officiating.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 – 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11:30 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback celebrating.

The family would like to thank all the Doctors and nurses on 4A of the Chinook Regional Hospital. They were very special and did a tremendous job.
