DENNIS JOHN DIEDERICH, the beloved husband of Sonia Diederich, of Lethbridge, passed away with his family at his side at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, May 13, 2019, at the age of 68 years.
Dennis “The Duke” accomplished much in his life, including raising his children. He was a journeyman electrician for more than 49 years. He enjoyed woodworking and tinkering in his shop. He spent a lot of time in the outdoors goose hunting and fishing with his family. Throughout his life, he liked to travel and visit historical sites and visit his family. In the course of his life, he was fortunate and took great pleasure in helping others when needed. He also took great pride in his grandchildren. His quiet courage, the strength of spirit, creativity and sense of humor (and quick wit) will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his son, Todd, granddaughter, Carly, his parents Wilfred & Dorothy Diederich.
Besides his loving wife Sonia, he is survived by two sons, Jerry (Shelli) of Vernon, B.C. and Cory (Cheryl) of Elkford, B.C.; one daughter, Tammy (Mike) Ogden of Sparwood, B.C.; three grandchildren; six brothers, Larry (Darlene), Roydon (Carolyn), Murray (Irene), Rick (Claudia), Barry, Brian (Linda).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback officiating. He will be laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery.
