After a brave battle with pancreatic cancer, BRIAN MARSHALL passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 with his family by his side.
He was predeceased by his parents Jack & Gladys Marshall.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Lise, daughter Jennifer (Matt), grandchildren Ashley & Matthew; brothers Dick (Jo-Anne), Wayne (Linda) and Barry (Diane); sisters Sheila, Carol and Brenda (Don). Also left to mourn the loss of their Uncle Brian are numerous nieces and nephews, all who have fond memories of their time with him.
Last but certainly not least, he is very much missed by his beloved border collie, Lucy, who was never far from his side.
Brian will be remembered as not only a caring husband, father, and Poppy but as a true cowboy with a deep and passionate love of horses and an outstanding knowledge of equine pedigree and lineage. He was fortunate to build a career around that passion and as a result, developed long-lasting friendships along the way.
A Celebration of Brian’s Life will be held at the Southern Alberta Ethnic Association (SAEA) in Lethbridge on Tuesday June 13, 2017 from 3:30 – 6:30. This is a casual come and go reception. There will be prayers led by Pastor John at 4:00 as well as light snacks and refreshments being provided. For those who wish to say some words about their memories of Brian, there will be an opportunity to do so.
The address to the S.A.E.A. is 421 – 6 Avenue South. The entrance to the building faces 6th Avenue south. The parking is to the west side of the building and is not obvious to those who are not familiar with the facility.
To access the parking for this facility, please enter via the 4th street entrance just off 5th Avenue South (same side street as the parking for the Government of Alberta Building).
Please head to the end of the dead end road (towards 6th Avenue) and the entrance is to the left at the end of this street. To assist you, there will be balloons marking the entrance to the parking lot as the facility is relatively new. There is a ramp for those who have mobility challenges.
If you have any questions about the facility or the celebration itself, please email jenmarshall@telus.net
Flowers are gratefully declined. For those who wish to honour Brian, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society – #200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB T2E 2P5 or at www.cancer.ca/donate, or to the Lethbridge Association for Community Living – 527 6 Street South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 2E1 or at www.lacl.ca/donate.
