Information needed on wanted man facing attempted murder charge

Blood Reserve – UPDATE: Tuesday, Dec. 10 – RCMP say 29-year-old Kyle Lewis Crow Chief has been located in Edmonton. He was arrested without incident. The investigation by the Major Crimes Unit is continuing. Police say no other information is available at this time.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is requesting information on the whereabouts of a Blood Reserve man wanted in relation to a shooting on thee Blood Reserve.

The incident came to light around 2:25 Saturday (Dec 7) morning, when Blood Tribe Police responded to a call from Blood Tribe EMS that a man was allegedly shot with a firearm. The injured 41-year-old man was flown to Calgary with life threatening injuries.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit took charge of the investigation with the assistance of Blood Tribe Police and the Lethbridge Forensic Identification Section, when it was learned the suspect had fled the area.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 29-year old Kyle Lewis Crow Chief, who is facing a charge of attempted murder.

Crow Chief is six feet fall, weighs 150-pounds, has brown eyes and long brown past his shoulders. When last seen, he was wearing a black Helly Hansen windbreaker and dark jeans. He is always wearing a hat

Crow Chief was last known to be driving a 2018 black Jeep Compass with Alberta license plate BVD9815 and is believed to be in possession of a firearm.

If you see Kyle Lewis Crow Chief or know his whereabouts, please do not confront him.
