As the summer winds down and kids go back to school, Re/Max Real Estate Lethbridge is pleased to report that Lethbridge and Areas’ Real Estate Market continues to remain very stable. If you can remember at the beginning of the year, the market was very unbalanced with high inventory levels with lower number of sales, which had tipped the market fairly heavily toward the Buyer.

Last month saw the average sale price squeak up almost 5 percent, which is great news. The number of sale transactions were down slightly, however so was the number of listings. The busiest price range for August was the $250k-$300k price range, with the $150k to $250k range coming in second, followed by the $200k-$250k. West Lethbridge was the busiest for sales, followed by the South side and then the North side.

“The Real Estate market heading into fall is showing strength when compared with prior years. Again, with lots of inventory across all price ranges and mortgages at historical lows, this is an amazing time to move up or to get in the market as a first time buyer.”

An interesting side note for our surrounding towns and cities is that the Raymond area showed strength with 12 reported sales.
