Construction resumes on University Drive twinning Monday

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The University Drive twinning project is set to resume on Monday.

The City of Lethbridge said much of the work will include taking care of underground utilities. Fortunately for commuters, this will not require any road closures or detours.

As spring nears and local weather improves, construction will shift to completing the twinning of University Drive from Grand River Boulevard to SunRidge Boulevard.

This will include the reconstruction of the SunRidge Boulevard roundabout. Residents can expect some delays in that area during the construction period.

University Drive W. is being twinned from north of Stadium Drive W. to south of SunRidge Boulevard W. to increase the roadway’s capacity for handling increasing traffic volumes.
