Kodiaks basketball teams wrap up ACAC championships play
CAMROSE, AB – The Lethbridge College Kodiaks basketball teams both fought hard but were unable to capture gold at their respective ACAC championship tournaments, seeing their seasons come to a close.
The men’s team lost in their opener to NAIT late last week, setting up a consolation matchup with the host University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings on Friday. They won that matchup 109-88 to move on to a battle with Red Deer College in a 5/6 place game Saturday afternoon.
Brock Dewsbery tore down the house, dropping 31 points, along with seven rebounds, as the Kodiaks took down the Kings 105-96 to finish in fifth place at the tournament.
Orin Porter Jr. finished with 23 points and Chase Bohne had 21 for Lethbridge. Spencer Klassen led the way for Red Deer College with 27 points.
