FREDERICTON, NB – Following a silver medal performance at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Championships, Lethbridge College’s men’s volleyball team is all set to hit the national stage.

The Kodiaks are at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick for the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Men’s Volleyball Championship tournament.

The Kodiaks are in quarter-final action Thursday, March 12 against the Volontaires de Sherbrooke from the Cégep de Sherbrooke (Quebec) at 3:00 p.m., Atlantic Time (12:00 p.m. Mountain Time).

Sherbrooke claimed the top spot in the RSEQ (Quebec Student Sport Federation) with a 15-5 record. The team’s only CCAA title came back in 1993.

The Kodiaks go into the tournament as the ACAC Wildcard entry, after being defeated by the Red Deer College Kings in four sets in the ACAC championship game just a few weeks ago. The Lethbridge team finished tied for first with Red Deer in the ACAC South Division with a record of 20 wins and four losses.
