City of Lethbridge adjusts Transit Route 12 service

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge has adjusted one of its prime transit routes.

Route 12 will be moved to 30-minute service as of today, March 17 to accommodate lower than typical rider volumes.

Route 12 typically offers services every 15 minutes to meet peak morning and afternoon passenger volumes on weekdays from 6:45 to 9:30 a.m. and from 3:45 to 6:15 p.m.

The city said the change will help provide more capacity for Lethbridge Transit while still meeting the needs of the community. The change will be in effect until further notice.

The shift to 30-minute service mirrors the city’s summer service hours in operation while post-secondary institutions are no longer in full session.
