Raymond woman charged with assaulting two seniors in Lethbridge
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police have charged a woman, 23, in connection with a robbery where two senior citizens were assaulted.
On Wednesday, March 11, the downtown branch of the Lethbridge Public Library was hosting a public film festival where two seniors who attempted to stop a robbery were assaulted.
According to police, an unknown female took a laptop and two cups of hot coffee from the room when she was confronted by a 73-year-old woman who was one of the event’s organizers.
The suspect was told that the laptop belonged to the library, and following a brief verbal altercation, she allegedly threw the hot coffee in the senior citizen’s face. The victim suffered first-degree burns.
