LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes have inked Logan Wormald.

The team’s third-round draft pick in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft has signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement. The 15-year-old forward was selected 45th overall in last month’s draft.

Wormald is from Langley, B.C. and totaled 62 points (26 goals, 36 assists), along with 20 penalty minutes in 30 games with the Yale Hockey Academy last season, playing on the team’s top line.

Wormald also recorded five points (one goal, four assists) in two post-season games.

He finished 21st in CSSBHL scoring with his 62 points and finished second in team scoring.

Over two years with the Yale Bantam squad, he suited up in 60 games, recording 106 points (45 goals, 61 assists) and 42 penalty minutes, while adding 12 points (three goals, nine assists) in six playoff games.

“His hockey sense is off the charts and we are really excited about Wormald,” said Hurricanes general manager Peter Anholt, in a team-issued release.

“he is going to be a really good player and his coaches and teammates speak so highly of him and we are really excited to get him signed.”

Wormald is the third player from the 2020 draft class to sign with the Hurricanes, following first-round pick Cole Miller and second-rounder Noah Chadwick.
