LETHBRIDGE, AB – Albertans are in store for some warm weather over the next few months.

Blaine Lowry with Environment Canada told Lethbridge News Now that in southern Alberta, there are no ‘strong signals’ for major shifts in temperature or precipitation over the next few months.

“For temperature, it’s looking like a normal trend, so normal temperatures to maybe slightly above normal in southern Alberta for the months of June, July and August,” he said.

Lowry added that they’re not expecting an onslaught of precipitation for the southern part of the province.

“In terms of precipitation, [it’s the] same kind of thing. It’s looking a little bit [like a] normal [trend] to maybe slightly below normal for precipitation amounts for southern Alberta.”

Lowry previously spoke with LNN about tornado season in Alberta.
