LETHBRIDGE, AB – Parents can share their input on how their children should be educated next year.

The Lethbridge School Division has launched a survey for parents, with the goal of gathering feedback on how classes should be delivered, starting with the fall semester.

Last week, the division released its “re-entry brief” detailing some of the options for class delivery.

Options include the offering of courses at home, regular in-person classes, or a ‘blended’ model.

The division said with the current climate, the ‘blended’ model appears to be the most likely option, despite it being difficult to plan for. However, the school board noted that things could change from now to September.

Parents are asked to fill out a survey for each of their children.

“Lethbridge School Division is hopeful that we can work with parents, students and the community to plan and address challenges with re-entry to schools in the fall,” the division stated.

“In order to target our planning for student success in any of the three different scenarios presented by the Minister of Education, we need your help. The information that you provide in this survey will help schools structure learning in the best way possible. If we work together, we can problem solve and try to overcome challenges.”

The division is asking that the survey be completed by June 17, 2020. It can be found at the Lethbridge School Division’s website.
