Lethbridge College grad named Baltimore Orioles chief operating officer

BALTIMORE, Md. – A Lethbridge College graduate has been tapped to run the business side of the Baltimore Orioles.

John Vidalin, who hails from Edmonton, has been named Chief Operating Officer of the Major League Baseball franchise. His oversight will include revenue, branding, stadium operations, events, and customer experience, according to a news release.

Previous positions include executive vice-president of the NBA’s Miami Heat, and chief sales officer of the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL.

Executive vice-president John Angelos credited Vidalin’s experience, calling him the “ideal choice” to help develop the Orioles and Oriole Park brands.
