Service Canada to reopen in-person locations across the country

TORONTO, ON– Service Canada Centres offer one of the many important ways Canadians can access critical supports, and soon they will be open for the public again.

In-person visits were halted because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Canadians looking to access Services from Service Canada have been doing so online over the last couple of months.

Service Canada announced the gradual and safe reopening of up to 90 Service Canada Centres across the country.

The reopening of in-person Centres will add to the new services recently put in place to meet the needs of Canadians during the pandemic, such as the eServiceCanada portal.

Service Canada still believes Canadians should use the online services instead of coming into the buildings, in an attempt to maintain physical distance.

Face masks will be offered at Service Canada Centres where they are required under these guidelines.

At this point, we do not know when Lethbridge’s Service Canada location will be opened.
