Police investigating arson in north Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Police in Lethbridge are looking for a suspect in a case of arson.

On July 12, just before noon, Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a garage fire on the 200 block of 14 Street North.

Once on scene, they found the garage engulfed in flames.

The blaze was extinguished quickly and fortunately, did not spread to any neighbouring homes.

Additionally, no injuries were reported.

LPS says that a fire investigator determined that the fire appears to have been deliberately set after yard waste left in the nearby alley was ignited.

The police investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact LPS at 403-328-4444 or CrimeStoppers are 1-800-222-8477.
