Southern Alberta trio face several charges including flight from police and drug possession

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Members from Fort Macleod RCMP and the Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit worked together to put three people behind bars.

On Wednesday, July 15 at approximately 2:23 pm, officers in Fort Macleod tried to stop a moving vehicle, but it allegedly continued at a high speed and crashed through the fence of a business on the 400 block of 12 Street.

Almost an hour later, police located the vehicle on Range Road 262 near Township Road 64.

Using a tire deflation device and help from a local who blocked a portion of the road with a large work truck, the suspects were apprehended.

Kyle Dean Jordan, 27, of Lethbridge, faces charges of dangerous driving, flight from police, driving while prohibited Canada-wide, two counts of breach of conditions, and possession of fentanyl.

He is scheduled to appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court on July 20.

A 38-year-old man from Fort Macleod and a 32-year-old woman from Pincher Creek are charged with possession of a controlled substance are scheduled to appear in Fort Macleod Provincial Court on October 14. Their charges have not been formally sworn in yet, so the RCMP is not releasing their names yet.
