LETHBRIDGE, AB – Tourism Lethbridge has a new Chief Executive Officer.

Jasmine Sangria will join the team on August 10.

Chair of the Board Suzanne Lint says Sangria has worked in the marketing industry for about two decades with various groups, including the First Nations Chamber of Commerce.

During her time with Yukon Brewing, the brewery and distillery earned national and northern acclaim, including being the only Yukon business shortlisted by Canadian Business magazine in the top 100 for the 2015 Top 25 Brands in Canada.

Sangria co-founded the Yukon Culinary Festival and in 2011, received the Golden Bravo award from the Yukon Convention Bureau for her partnership in the marketing and execution of the BreakOut West Music Awards. Sangria also served as a Marketing Committee Chair for the 2012 Arctic Winter Games, creating the slogan ‘Play Your Part’.

“We remain committed to building innovative, thoughtful and relevant tourism resources, so Lethbridge is positioned to attract visitors to our city as active travel and tourism returns,” said Lint in a release from Tourism Lethbridge.

“We are pleased with the acceptance of the CEO position by this experienced professional and believe Jasmine will be able to work with the community to achieve our vision.”

During the month of August, the board and staff will take time to introduce Sangria to the people and businesses of Lethbridge.
