Province confirms first COVID-19 death in M.D. of Taber
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Government of Alberta has released Tuesday’s report on COVID-19, detailing the numbers over the past 24 hours.
85 new cases were confirmed across the province, bringing the total to 11,772. Of those, 1,004 cases are active while 10,552 people have recovered.
Among the new infections, nine were in the South Health Zone with two each in Cardston County and Lethbridge County as well as one each for Brooks, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, County of Warner, and the M.D. of Taber.
The Taber area also saw one resident die as a result of COVID-19. Alberta Health has not indicated what the age or gender of this person was, nor which specific area within the municipal district they were from.
