Lethbridge Police issue arrest warrant in connection with hit and run

LETHBRIDGE, AB– On Aug. 12, 2020, police responded to Chinook Regional Hospital after a 37-year-old male was admitted with injuries sustained in a hit and run.

24-year-old Dylan Ivan Sokol of Lethbridge is charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm, operating a motor vehicle while prohibited and causing an accident resulting in bodily harm.

An investigation determined a man and a female acquaintance were driving along 10 Street North at the intersection with 3 Avenue North when they were involved in an altercation with the driver of a red Volkswagen Jetta.

Both vehicles pulled over and the confrontation continued culminating with the man being run over in the street.

The victim remains in stable condition at a hospital in Calgary.
