CROWSNEST PASS, AB – Residents of the Crowsnest Pass finally know when they will be heading to the polls.

It follows the resignation of councillor Gordon Lundy back in late February.

Originally, the by-election was to be held no later than June 27, but the local government received approval to delay that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, claiming it limited the ability of candidates to campaign and the people to vote.

Prospective candidates will have until Monday, September 14 to submit the paperwork needed to enter the running.

Plans for a candidate information session are being developed and should be announced shortly.

More details on the by-election, including access to the nomination forms, can be found in this link.
