LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Government of Alberta has released Tuesday’s report on COVID-19, detailing the numbers over the past 24 hours.

77 cases were confirmed across the province, bringing the total to 13,083. Of those, 1,134 cases are active and 11,714 people have recovered.

While there are two more positive test results in the County of Newell and one for Brooks, the government says the overall caseload to date in the South Health Zone is still 1,721. This could mean that three cases that were previously confirmed have been reclassified.

This week, three areas that have had people test positive for COVID-19 now have none that are currently active. Lethbridge got this distinction Monday and did not budge today, and joining it on Tuesday are Fort Macleod and Lethbridge County.

One person in the Edmonton Zone died as a result of the virus, meaning it has now claimed the lives of 235 Albertans.

46 people are currently hospitalized and seven have been admitted to intensive care units.

903,052 tests have been completed among 723,302 different people.
