Final phase of paving in University Drive Twinning set to start Saturday

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Crews are planning to complete the final phase of paving on University Drive.

The next phase of the University Drive Twinning project is scheduled to start Saturday, Sept. 12.

The latest work will be completed in two stages and take seven days, weather permitting.

Stage one will be on the southbound lanes, beginning on the 12^th and slated to be completed on Sept. 15. The second stage will start on Sept. 16 and is scheduled to be finished on Sept. 18.

Traffic will be switched to the opposing lanes during each stage. Motorists are being asked to drive with caution in the area and to follow posted detours.

Pedestrian traffic will be accommodated at Grand River Boulevard for students at the beginning and end of the school day. Additionally, Lethbridge Transit will accommodate bus routes accordingly.
