Crews respond to two-vehicle collision on Highway 3 near Monarch

09/13/2020 UPDATE: The affected section of westbound Highway 3 near the Monarch turnoff was reopened shortly after 11:00 p.m., according to 511 Alberta.

No further details have been provided by RCMP at this time, including the number of patients involved or status of condition for those involved in Saturday’s two-vehicle collision.

(09/12/2020) Fort Macleod RCMP are currently on scene of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 3.

The incident occurred near the Monarch turnoff. All westbound traffic is being diverted onto Monarch.

Eastbound traffic is flowing as normal. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.

RCMP has provided no further details at this time. An updated is expected once the highway is cleared.
