FORT MACLEOD, AB – Three people are in hospital following a collision on Highway 3 Saturday afternoon, September 12.

Responders received additional calls while en route that the eastbound vehicle had hit a westbound SUV, resulting in a head-on collision, west of the turnoff to Monarch.

The driver of the eastbound car, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was airlifted to a Calgary hospital by STARS Ambulance with serious injuries.

The current status of the driver was not made available by RCMP.

The two occupants of the SUV were taken by ground ambulance to a hospital in Calgary with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
