LPS charge three in “High Risk” home search
LETHBRIDGE, AB. — Following a south-side hom search that began Thursday (Sept 24) afternoon, Lethbridge Police charge three of the five people taken into custody. Officers executed a search warrant at a home in the 800 Block of 16 Street South, that has been under investigation for several months related to drug trafficking.
During their search, officers located unknown items that required them to call in the LPS Explosive Disposal Unit (EDU), which confirmed the items were improvised explosive devices (IED).
During the house search, neighbours were required to evacuate or shelter in place while the IEDs were rendered safe and the residence was further searched.
