Pritchett and Canyon to play concert in support of Taber & District Health Foundation

Oct 2, 2020 | 7:20 AM

TABER, AB – Country music starts Aaron Pritchett and George Canyon are headed to Taber.

The duo will play a drive-in style concert on Saturday, October 24 at the Taber Agriplex.

The Big Screen Harvest Party will support the Taber and District Health Foundation (TDHF). Online and text-to-donate options will also be available to support the TDHF.

The night will include two one-hour shows, starting at 6:30 and 9 p.m.

The drive-in concert replaces the usual fall fundraising telethon, which has run for the last 25 years. Last year, the telethon raised over $200,000 for the foundation.

The event had to be cancelled this year because of COVID-19.

“Since 1992, 6 million dollars have enhanced our community health care,” said Tamara Miyanaga, board chair of the TDHF.

“It is time to celebrate and raise those important funds to provide support to the Taber Health Centre and local senior facilities like Linden View, Clearview, Prairie Rose Manor in Vauxhall, Bountiful House in Barnwell and Sunshine Manor in Grassy Lake.”

She said the foundation is excited to raise funds for “the best possible health care in our communities”.

Tickets for the October 24 event are available via the TDHF website here.

Car pass prices are $130 per car for premium spots or $105 for general admission, per maximum seatbelts in the vehicle.
