LETHBRIDGE, AB – All residents of a west Lethbridge apartment building severely damaged by fire have been displaced from their homes.

Emergency crews were called out to the scene just before 8:00 a.m., with all four of the city’s fire stations responding.

The City of Lethbridge has since confirmed with Lethbridge News Now that all 36 units in the building were subject to unrepairable damage.

“Anyone living in this complex should be reaching out to their property manager for more information and to the Canadian Red Cross for emergency support services,” the city told LNN.

An investigation is ongoing with Lethbridge Fire and Lethbridge Police working together to determine a cause and circumstances of the incident.

The city said no further information will be available until after the investigation is complete and due to the size and complexity of the fire, this could take several days.
