727 COVID cases confirmed in Alberta Sunday

EDMONTON, AB – Alberta Health Services (AHS) has confirmed another high caseload for COVID-19.

Across the province, 727 positive tests were identified over the past 24 hours.

Another six Albertans died from COVID, meaning it has now claimed the lives of 363 people.

Due to an error with a system update at AHS last weekend, up-to-date local and regional numbers are not available.

As LNN reported on Friday, the province is restricting gatherings in all communities on the COVID watch list, including banquets and award ceremonies, wedding or funeral receptions, luncheons or potlucks, parties, and other private or social gatherings.

Locally, those on the COVID watch list, and therefore affected by the gathering restriction, includes:

  • Lethbridge
  • Lethbridge County
  • M.D. of Taber
  • County of Forty Mile
  • M.D. of Willow Creek
  • Vulcan County
