Community lab in Lethbridge closes temporarily due to short-term staff shortage

Nov 9, 2020 | 10:28 AM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Due to short-term staffing shortages, a community lab in Lethbridge is temporarily closed.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) says effective today, November 9, the Campbell Clinic South location of Alberta Precision Laboratories (430 Mayor Magrath Drive S.) will be temporarily closed.

Because the location is drop-in only, no appointments have been cancelled and all patients will be accommodated at other locations.

Patients requiring lab services can still access lab collection services at the locations below:

“We appreciate the understanding of all patients as we continue to work to ensure we have the staffing support needed to continue to offer services safely,” AHS said in a release.

“Every effort continues to be made to find alternate staff solutions to cover shifts. Unfortunately, when that is not possible, temporary short-term closures are required.”

Appointments are encouraged for the Lethbridge Community Lab and can be booked online here or by calling 1-833-572-0577. More information on lab services can be found here.
