LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection with an assault on a coffee shop employee.

Police say on November 7, shortly after 5 a.m., a man entered the Tim Hortons restaurant on the 400 block of 13 Street North. Staff reported that the man sat down at a table and then appeared to fall asleep.

LPS note that an employee repeatedly told the man he could not sleep in the restaurant and asked him to leave the store. As he got up to leave, he allegedly punched the female employee, which police say caused “swelling and damage to her dental work”. An image of the suspect was obtained from the business’ security cameras.

Anyone with information on this matter is asked to call police at 403-328-4444 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Anonymous tips can also be submitted online at www.p3tips.com.
