West Lethbridge fire causes $400,000 in damages Monday morning

LETHBRIDGE, AB – No injuries were reported in a west-side house fire Monday morning.

The City of Lethbridge says emergency crews responded to the home in the 3000 block of Blackfoot Road West after a call came in around 4:30 a.m.

22 firefighters responded and when crews arrived, the home was on fire with flames coming out of the roof.

Responders were able to get the fire under control quickly, according to the city.

All occupants were out of the residence and firefighters rescued a dog that was still inside. The city says damages are estimated at $400,000 and the cause of the early morning fire is under investigation.
