LETHBRIDGE, AB– The children’s winter clothing drive through the Amazing Grace Community Church and the Lethbridge Soup Kitchen has completely exceeded their expectations.

The initiative to clothe 50 children with much-needed winter clothing has bloomed with more donations than expected in under five days.

From Monday, November 16 to Friday, over 75 jacket donations were given to the cause, and donations are still needed.

Helping spark the project, Mallory Kristjanson with Connecting Our Community Lethbridge says gloves, hats, and other winter clothing is still needed.

Kristjanson is thankful for all the contributions in such a small time.

An Alberta shirt company donated 50 customized hoodies for an elementary school in the city.

Kristjanson says clothing for those who are less fortunate is still needed.

The drop-off location is 324 – 13 Street North from Monday to Thursday, 9:30 am-11:30 am, and on Wednesday from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
