Lethbridge man charged with drug-related offences

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has arrested a man on charges related to the drug trade.

On Tuesday, November 24, members of the Crime Suppression Team observed the occupants of a vehicle “engaged in activities consistent with illegal drug transactions.”

The suspect, Mark Anthony Brown, was later arrested at a northside bar.

The 50-year-old was allegedly in possession of more than seven grams of methamphetamine, more than 13 grams of fentanyl, and eight fentanyl patches. Altogether, the drugs are said to be worth over $5,000.

Officers also seized nearly $2,800 in cash.

He was also in breach of his previous release order and had outstanding warrants.

Brown was remanded into custody and is awaiting a bail hearing.
