Blood Tribe Police arrest man for threats to police officers

LETHBRIDGE, AB– Blood Tribe Police Service arrested a man after he posted on Facebook that he would put the lives of police officers and their families in danger.

Police were made aware of the video of the man that stated that he would execute police officers and their families if they attempted to arrest him.

On December 30th, 2020, police learned that the man was in Standoff, AB but is not a nation member.

Patrick Rodney, 32, of Lethbridge Alberta, was located on the Blood Tribe and arrested and charged for Uttering Threats to Cause Death and Trespassing on the Blood Reserve.

Rodney was released on an Undertaking with conditions not to be on the Blood Reserve and attend Cardston Provincial Court in March 2021.
